I will finish 52 Projects...

…and maybe even throw in some bonuses in the new year (I can already think of 10)!  You are probably already aware, we had a baby 4 weeks ago.  As much as I tried to plan ahead after realizing he’d be around while finishing 8 or so of my 52 Projects, he and the holidays got the best of me.

I thought about my blog every week and knew of the responsibility/accountability I had to faithful blog followers, but at the end of a tired week I chose to sleep when he was sleeping or seize a moment of snuggling.

And I don’t regret it.

As I would love to delight everyone following by finishing with a post each week, the reason I started 52 Projects was initially for me, for setting goals in a new year.  So, for me and for those still waiting for my last few posts, I will finish the last of 52 Projects by the end of January.  Keep an eye out this week for number 48 of 52 Projects!

Christmas Is Coming!

We’re definitely a “decorate for Christmas after Thanksgiving” family.  So, this weekend has been the time to break out what we call our “Christmas in a Trunk.”  All of our Christmas stuff neatly fits inside of an old trunk that we use for a side table in our living room.

For my project this week I started with these touches of Christmas…

I especially like the place for our Christmas tree this year.  Oh, and actually getting to hang the Christmas wreath I finished in January feels great!

Stay tuned in the next couple days for additional Christmas decor like our mantel.

Keeper of the NUK

Kevin asked the question “What is our family going to call a pacifier?”  Through a long conversation walking through the aisles of Babies R Us a few months ago, we decided it would be a Nuk.  We’ll see if it sticks.  The little guy hasn’t tried them out yet.  We’ll see if he ends up taking one.  What now shall we call these clips?

We’ll call them…Keepers of the NUKs.

Don’t worry the rest of my 6 posts this year won’t be baby projects/crafts.  More art and design to come!

Baby Little Man Onesies

For the majority of this week I worked on my “Studio Corner” in our apartment.  That was going to be my project for this week, but we had some unchartered plans in the works for Friday and today.  Our son was born which leads me to the post for this week!

We had the opportunity to visit our friends in California (here’s their fun blog) this summer.  While there, my friend and I sewed designs on onesies for our babies (due within 2 weeks of each other).  I’ve been waiting to post this fun project because my little model was not ready yet.  Here he is sporting one of his onesies designed by mom. :)

I’ll post the other onesie I made when we get home and my “Studio Corner” will be coming shortly.  For now, back to the guy who took 9 months to make and thanks for following throughout this year as we’ve prepared for this little guy!
