Acrylic on 5” x 8” Moleskin Notebook

Since given the challenge of buying a Moleskin from our church to support a school being built in India and creating a unique cover for it, I have been stumped. Go big, or go home. I kept thinking, I can’t just send this to some kid in India with a half-hearted cover on it.

I was stumped, until earlier this week. I’ve had this painting stored away as an idea for awhile.

I titled this painting “Potential” based on Isaiah 61:11 and how we expect a seed, given what it needs, has so much potential for growth. The actual canvas painting will look a little less elementary, but this one is meant to make a little one smile. I pray that for the special kid who will receive our notebook.

Potential of the Gospel going out. Potential for this student. Potential for the school. Potential for India and other nations. Please pray with us this week for the India Team!

P.S. I know some of you may be asking, “where is her Pinterest Challenge Project?” That one is finished too, but I’m posting it next week. Our India team from our church leaves today and I felt the timing of this post was more important.

Behind the scenes: I had to do two projects this week because we are leaving for 10 days so next week’s post is already set to go! I’ll give you a hint…it involves chalkboard paint and a special room in our apartment!
